Bank Reconciliation Statement (BRS) Maker (Excel)
Reconcile your books with the bank statement every month: mark what cleared, add bank charges and direct credits, and see the reconciled balance and any difference at once.
Frequently bought together
The bank balance in your books and on the statement almost never match on the last day of the month. Cheques take days to clear, the bank adds charges you have not entered, and customers pay by NEFT without telling you. A bank reconciliation explains every rupee of the gap.
What it does
- Books: the month's bank entries from your cash book, with Cleared Yes or No and the bank date
- Days pending for uncleared items, so old cheques stand out
- Bank Only: charges, interest, ECS debits and direct credits that are on the statement but not in your books
- BRS: from the book balance, adds unpresented cheques, subtracts uncleared deposits, adjusts bank-only items and shows the balance as per bank
- Difference and status: Reconciled or Find the difference

Questions about this product
What is a BRS?
A statement that explains why the bank balance in your books differs from the bank statement on the same date, item by item.
Which balance do I start from?
The sample starts from the balance as per books. Every item then adds or subtracts until it reaches the bank balance.
How often should I do it?
Every month, as soon as the statement arrives. Monthly BRS catches errors and fraud early.
Does it work for several bank accounts?
Use one copy of the file per bank account.
Is it good for commerce students?
Yes. The sample is a complete worked example with the common items: unpresented cheques, uncleared deposits, charges, interest and direct credits.
How do I get the files after payment?
A download button appears on screen right after payment, and the link is emailed to you. You can also download again any time from My account.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. It works with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, WPS Office. Free mobile apps are enough.
What if something does not work?
Write to us within 7 days with your order number. We will fix it, send a working file, or refund you.
